about

“The Flower, The Thorn” is the new mini EP from southern based UK metal band Castellan. A tortured work of brutal honesty delving deep into the themes of paranoia, romance, anxiety, sex and addiction for fans of technical yet passionate heavy music such as Meshuggah, Botch, Daughters and Some Girls.

Having honed their craft in the live setting since their formation in 2011 with the likes of Birds In Row, I Am A Curse, Bastions, Palm Reader, Polar, Vales, Brotherhood Of The Lake and Lets Talk Daggers among others, the band, have unleashed a truly epic and unsettling release capturing their ferocity and honesty.

Recorded, mixed and mastered at The Ranch Production House with Lewis Johns (Palm Reader, Bastions, Last Witness et al), “The Flower, The Thorn” is Castellan’s next step in their visceral and emotionally cathartic evolution.

Castellan: Scott Benson, Luke Mulholland, Brook Laing and James Vail.
